By: Debbie Christopher ~~My dear Mom and Mother-in-Law are celebrating their first Mother’s Day in Heaven together this year. I’m ‘sure’ they’re spending some time together talking about their wonderful children!
Sadly, it dawned on me a couple of weeks ago, as Mothers’ Day items began to show up on store shelves, that I wouldn’t be able to say Happy Mother’s Day to either of them this year. It was weird to think of having no one to whom I—nor my husband—could say those sweet words. I started thinking of how to curb that hole in our hearts.
So, today I’d like to say Happy Mothers’ Day to the mothers of our awesome grandchildren. Sharon and Emily, we love you and send this admonishment on this special Mothers’ Day:
“We must not hide them from their children, but must tell a future generation the praises of the Lord, His might, and the wonderful works He has performed….so that a future generation — children yet to be born — might know…”
Psalms 78:4, 6 HCSB
These two moms—-side by side with the daddies—-have faithfully strived to follow Ephesians 6:4 and are bringing our grands ‘up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord’ so that our future Great Grands might know…For this we are grateful.
Happy Mothers’ Day, Sharon and Emily!
~Mom and Dad…
That's a sweet post! ❤️
